Apogee Semiconductor Appoints Micross Components, Inc. as Global Distributor

Apogee Semiconductor Appoints Micross Components, Inc. as Global Distributor

Plano, Texas — Apogee Semiconductor, a provider of technologies and products for space and other extreme environments, announced today the appointment of Micross Components, Inc. (Micross) as their global distributor of Apogee Semiconductor die and packaged Rad-Tolerant and Rad-Hard integrated circuits.

Micross will offer Apogee Semiconductor logic, interface, and translation ICs, in all form factors including OEM plastic packaging and available in both 30 krad (si) and 300 krad (si) total ionizing dose (TID) variants and three testing grades. Due to Micross’ comprehensive offering of end-to-end microelectronic services, Apogee Semiconductor technology can be offered as bare die, standard components, mil-temp screened integrated circuits (ICs), MIL-PRF-38535 qualified plastic encapsulated microcircuits (NASA/Goddard Space EEE-INST-002, Level 2 PEMs), or as MIL-PRF-38534 qualified hermetic ICs. All of these formats can be optimized for specific application needs through value-added enhancements available via Micross.

Apogee Semiconductor’s AP54RHC family includes functions such as level-translators, majority voters, transceivers, and logic gates. Evaluation and flight units are available now. The AP54RHC products are built with cold-sparing capabilities and triple-redundancy providing maximum reliability and area savings. The AP54RHC family is tailored to small satellite applications with a Total Ionizing Dose (T ID) resilience of 30 krad (si) and Single Event Latch-up (SEL) hardened up to 80 MeV-cm2/mg, encapsulated in a 14-pin TSSOP plastic package, 300krad versions are sampling now.

“The range of form factors available through Micross now enables us to provide designers with maximum flexibility and cost savings for their specific application needs from LEO to deep space and beyond,” stated Anton Quiroz, CEO, Apogee Semiconductor. “We are confident of Micross’ commitment to Apogee’s growing portfolio of products.”

“We are excited to be working with Apogee Semiconductor and their remarkable TalRadTM technology, to expand our portfolio of high-reliability solutions,” said Jeremy Adams, Micross Vice President of Products & Services.
