As the Quality Manager at Apogee Semiconductor, you will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing and engineering processes to ensure consistent application of tools, materials, and procedures. You will establish and maintain quality standards for our products, driving operational excellence across the development and production lifecycle.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead all aspects of the design and implementation of quality management systems and standards.
  • Work closely with design, production, and supplier teams to define and enforce quality and reliability requirements across new product introduction (NPI), production, and failure analysis.
  • Monitor and audit suppliers to ensure process and material conformity.
  • Lead FA investigations, root cause analysis, and 8D problem-solving processes, including corrective/preventive actions and customer communications.
  • Track and report KPIs and initiate improvement projects based on trends
  • Implement controls for PCN (Product Change Notifications) and ECO (Engineering Change Orders) to manage product and process changes.
  • Serve as the primary quality liaison for customer audits, quality inquiries, scorecards, and RMA processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences (Chemistry, Physics), Material Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding various technical documents such as blueprints, material specification sheets, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of quality standards and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, SPC, DOE).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical collaborators.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Semiconductor, electronics, medical
    devices, aerospace, automotive).
  • Experience with ERP and MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Applications Engineer

About this position:

As an Applications Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to support customers using Apogee products, specifically, power management ICs (PMICs) and digital logic devices. This includes interfacing with customers to facilitate robust implementations of new designs including schematic and layout reviews. You will design and build hardware reference designs including documentation enabling effective evaluation of Apogee products. Generating marketing collateral that promotes use of our products such as application notes, simulation models, simulation testbenches, and test reports are also a key responsibility of an applications engineer. Strong collaboration among the cross functional teams involved in new product development is required.

What You’ll Do:

Customer Support: Provide key technical support to our customers to enable design-ins. Resolve technical issues. Assist in the design, integration, and deployment of company products into customer applications.

Collateral/Documentation: Create reference designs, user’s guides, test reports, application notes, and other technical marketing collateral. Create hardware demos highlighting differentiated features of Apogee products. Support data sheet generation and simulation models.

Lab evaluation: Bench test Apogee products to validate and resolve customer care-abouts. Include bench test results in reference design user’s guides. Support heavy-ion Single Event Effects radiation testing with hardware, test plans, and testing at the facility, if required.

Participate in all phases of development: Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues and implement product improvements.

Travel: Occasional travel to customer sites for in-person support, system integration, troubleshooting, and technical discussions. Attend trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings to promote the company's products

Continuous improvement: Continually work to improve processes and methodologies for better accuracy, efficiency, ad cost-effectiveness.

Collaboration: Work closely with the strategic general manager and the marketing manager as well as other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Masters of Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience as an Applications Engineer specifically in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of power converter architectures (buck, boost, forward, full bridge, phase shifted full bridge, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Desire and drive to interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Application PCB design/layout (KiCAD).
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate complex technical concepts to different audiences with varying level of technical understanding.
  • Available to work full-time in the Plano Office

  • 2+ years’ engineering experience with power management ICs (PMICs)

Regional Technical Sales Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

As the Regional Technical Sales Manager, your primary responsibility will be to promote Apogee products via all available channels within your assigned territory. This includes being responsible for direct accounts, manufacturers’ representatives and distributors in your territory. This role will be responsible for sales growth, account management and achieving the quarterly/annual sales targets. Prospecting through conferences, emailing/calling and utilizing our rep networks is key to growth and success for this position.

What You’ll Do:

Customers: Maintain the sales funnel with relevant data, and to be able to articulate the status of key opportunities with management. Attain/exceed revenue growth goals.

Budget: Own the budgeting for your region(s) and be responsible for generating and attaining budgets for your region(s).

Travel: Minimum overnight travel requirement in assigned territory to visit both current and prospective customers is 35%. Travel is primarily domestic but may also include an occasional international trip. The purpose of these trips is to visit current customers, present our service offerings to new prospective customers, train rep networks, attend conferences and any other task needed to hit the assigned sales quota.

Manufactures Reps: Be responsible for the recruitment, retainment, training and support of manufactures reps in your territory.

Distribution Partners: Be responsible for engagement and support of all distribution partners in your territory.

Marketing Support: Support marketing efforts with field engagement and active participation in marketing efforts. Work with marketing and engineering on the product roadmap by engaging with key customers to facilitate their input into the NPI process.

New Product Introduction: Support NPI efforts with new product definition, primarily based on key customer inputs. Support new product releases with marketing efforts.

Collaboration: Create and maintain working relationships with key customer contacts, and key contacts in the representative organization, and distributors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the electronics components industry
  • Experience in technical sales or applications engineering
  • Experience in CRM platforms
